In Loving Memory of Lucky

Our wonderful senior Lucky, the male in a pair of senior Dals that were rescued from Longview, Texas went to the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday, April 22, 2006.  When Lucky and Lacy's owner died, her son took them to the Longview shelter. We were determined to help this pair live their remaining years with dignity. Volunteer Martha Thompson stepped right up and went and got this wonderful pair and then she and her Mom have loved and cared for them since.  Lucky had cancer and heartworms and was way too old to treat, but what a GREAT last few months he had.  It takes a very special person to take on two seniors and give the care that Martha and her Mom have done. They still have Lacy and will continue giving that special love to her.
 
Lucky is running and playing now and waiting for his special pal Lacy to join him.
